As I am getting older, I am learning that everything happens for a reason. Many times we are taken through trials and tribulations in our lives to bring us clarity, and prepare us for a new level that is to come. Don’t ever hesitate or be afraid to transition to a new chapter in your life. Everything you have faced, and overcome was for a specific reason, whether you realized it or not. God will never take you through anything that serves no purpose. Every season in your life was strategically set up to prepare you for greatness. Even though you may feel as though you are living in hell right now, you’re still here-you’re still surviving. You are not pushing through the storm for nothing…something great is about to happen, and if you can just stand the storm just a little while longer, you will see it for yourself. Take a second and think back on a hard time in your life…now think of what occurred after you made it through. Something positive came from that negative moment, and it always will. Somehow you’re life changed for the better, you changed for the better. Don’t be afraid to reach your destiny, no matter how tough the climb may seem. It’s yours and if you just push through greatness will be waiting.
I’m sure you’ve heard people say “change is good”, I know I have. My question is how do you cope with change? At many points in our lives we are going to experience a shift or a change. Some are easy to accept, and move forward, while others really just have you questioning yourself. You wonder why the change occurred? is this going to be beneficial or detrimental to your life? How do you move forward with change? I find myself at this point today. I know why things have shifted the way they have, but it doesn’t mean I like it. Sometimes in order to move forward in your life you have to accept that with change comes a multitude of emotions and feelings. But after you’ve gone through all the back and forth of how and why, you will realize that you are still here. You are still surviving and moving another step forward. Everyday will not be easy, but the fact is you made it to the next day. It could be a good day, or it may be rougher than the one before but you are here. It’s all about finding the strength to keep moving towards your future. Sometimes change is temporary, other times permanent, but what I am learning is that how you handle the changes in your life determine there outcome. Some changes are necessary whether we realize it or not, and most of the time they occur to teach you a lesson-to prove to yourself just how strong you are. So today I am going to focus on my personal strength. I’m going to work on acceptance, and coping, and try my best to see the positive in the big shift. Find the positive in your change….among the negatives, there’s a positive outcome somewhere.
Good afternoon…I hope everyone’s week is going well so far. I just wanted to take some time out to say that I know life isn’t always easy, and some days are better than others. But one thing I’ve learned to do over time is look for the positive in every negative situation, and smile anyway. Every situation that you face in your life, happens for a reason. At the time you may not understand it, but in time you will. But during the storms and the difficult times, don’t let the negative get the best of you. Sometimes it’s hard to not get sad or discouraged, but look at your life and find some beauty somewhere. Find something that brings you joy, and focus on that. Take life on, don’t let life defeat you. Be strong, and remain encouraged in knowing that storms never last long. It’s just like a stormy summer day, the rain pours down heavily, but just a few minutes later the sun peeks out and shines again. I hope this is encouraging to someone.
***Smile through your storms***
So I’ve decided to challenge myself to put aside $10-$15 a week, to save up for a mini mom-cation. Now as a mom, I know it can be very hard to get that few moments to yourself, but its VERY important. Even if you don’t get a whole day or weekend to yourself, still save up for something that is just for you. You are a mom and with that role comes many duties and responsibilities, so why not reward yourself? You work hard, you definitely deserve it. Put a few dollars aside every week or every couple of weeks, to get your nails done, buy a new outfit, go to the spa, take a class or take an overnight trip. This is a great way to practice saving, and at the same time feel good knowing that you are working towards a goal. Remember you have everyone depending on you, but if you don’t take care of you, you are no good to the ones you love.
If you are interested in saving for a mom-cation, comment and lets see how far we get. In a few weeks I will post a follow up of how its going.

Good luck everyone, and thanks for reading 🙂
So today it was another adventure in the world of a 2 year old. So during potty training time, my toddler took it upon herself to display her artistic skills around the house. And her choice of writing item? a SHARPIE!!! OMG…EVERY MOTHER’S NIGHTMARE. So after asking fellow moms, and googling for a solution online I tried hand sanitizer. To my surprise, it actually worked. So if you’re kid colors the walls with permanent marker, try hand sanitizer- it has an alcohol base and works fine. But before using this solution test it out in a small area to make sure that you are not removing paint from your surfaces. Well that was the highlight of my day, and I chose to share it all with you. Hope you’re day went a little smoother. Thanks for reading and check back for more posts. 🙂
Once you realize your self worth, only then will you know the level of loyalty and respect to require of others. Remember you are special and should be treated as such. Expect nothing less than the best, because that’s what you are worth.
Today I’m posting with my mom hat on. As a child, I never understood how my mom knew exactly what I was doing without physically being present or what I was going to do before I did it. I’ve finally figured it out, Moms are superheroes Duh!!! LOL. Kids today just don’t understand we are psychics. We know their thoughts, actions, and behaviors before they are even done! I can see through walls, I have eyes in the back of my head, and I can even predict the future. I’m better than Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and all my children’s favorite heroes. Unfortunately, not until they become parents will they FINALLY understand that they came from me, so they are me and I know EVERYTHING going on! Mommy moment #1000…just needed to get that out. If there are any mothers who can relate please feel free to comment and share.
